Kardashian IP suits continue to stack up with California based Snap Light LLC filing a patent infringement case against Kim Kardashian for endorsing and helping design LuMee’s light-up phone cases.

LuMee currently has a separate suit pending in Delaware against Snap Light for infringement of its own patents; however, Snap Light, in addition to arguing against those patents’ validity, subsequently licensed the rights to a broadly written 2013 patent upon which this lawsuit is based.

The 2013 patent discloses a phone case lined with diffused LEDs that enable taking higher quality photographs.

If Snap Light’s newly acquired patent holds up to scrutiny, it may be able to invalidate LuMee’s patents and obtain the sizable $100 million judgment demanded.
